Affiliate Marketing Training 2017

Affiliate Marketing Training

Affiliate marketing training will save you a lot of time and aggravation. Free or paid, you need it when you first start out. Very simply, a lot of strategies claim to be profitable and no longer are so.

Google is constantly modifying and tweaking their algorithms. We all know this; it only makes sense that this should be.

Trouble is, it is my opinion that Google also tweaks their software to not rank things with which they may disagree or of which they may not approve. It sucks, but it can be gotten around by staying on top of things and keeping up with the most recent best practices.

Affiliate Marketing Training for Beginners

I hinted at this in the previous section. Affiliate marketing training for beginners is available everywhere. You can also find it at just about any price point.

The effectiveness of that training should always be in question.

Square One

Let’s say you are at the point where you have decided you want to be in business for yourself. You have no idea how to get started. You’ve no products of your own to sell. Right now your status is that you want to work for yourself and need a plan.

I would:

  • Decide on the training you will take. You need training.
  • Decide on a product/product line you want to represent.

Were I to say just pick one training source and one source of products to market as an affiliate I would recommend the following two step plan:

  1. Join My Lead System Pro, either at the Mastery or the University level.
  2. Go to ClickBank and create an account so you can review and have something to sell.

My Lead System Pro’s program trains you across the board.  If someone has had significant success in marketing online, then chances are fairly high they have had a relationship with or spent significant training time with My Lead System Pro.

As a member of MLSP you will have access to in-depth tutorials on how best to use the major social media platforms to market those products for whom you are an affiliate.

  1. Facebook
  2. YouTube
  3. Twitter
  4. LinkedIn
  5. Pinterest
  6. Google Plus+
  7. Snap Chat

affiliate marketing training

If it is a known fact that the top three social media sites are Facebook, YouTube and Twitter in that order, then it follows that you should pick one of those three to master.  Because you are new, a good plan would be to set up accounts on all three platforms and see which one you tend to gravitate towards most.

There Can Only Be One

While that is not exactly true, it is a good idea for the beginner. It is also a good idea for the person who is currently banging their head against the wall and showing no results.

As a result of your preferring one channel over the other two, your marketing efforts will probably bear more fruit there simply because you prefer to spend time there.

Finally, remember that daily, consistent action is more powerful than waiting until the weekend when you can focus all day on Saturday on your business. I say that because Saturday always seems to have its own demands and you will be telling yourself you will do it next week.

The only time to take action is today.

How To Make Money Blogging

How To Make Money Blogging

Blogging For Beginners

“How to make money blogging?” is the question the beginner asks trying to discover the path to profitable writing.

Taking a deep breath and relaxing is a good way to shorten your path to quality writing.

Learning how to make money with a blog for beginners is often a journey filled with lots of hard work, late nights and small or none existent paychecks.

Understand top money making blogs do not just slap up some copy with some pictures, a link to a YouTube video and some off handed copy. In order to start pulling in the viewers and sales you provide solutions to problems. Your readers trust you because of this and begin to place orders.

This requires you climb a learning curve. It requires

  1. Writing interesting, engaging, quality posts.
  2. Solving problems for your readers.
  3. Posting regularly so that Google has a reason to keep indexing your website.
  4. Having an SEO strategy that continually builds back links in an organic fashion.

Paying attention to your copy is how you make money.

Solving problems for people who come to your page so that they share your page with their friends is the ultimate solid gold e goal for your posts.

This means what you give away is often of more value that what your competition is selling. Further on in this post I give you several things you can do today that will set you head and shoulders above what most of your competition is doing. Those things prove daily what they are worth to many top earning bloggers.

How Much Money Can You Make Blogging?

How much money can you make blogging? Some bloggers make 7 figures.

A month.

Some bloggers make 7 figures a month.

No clearly, not everyone will. Like everything else on line there are a few who are exceptional and many who try, get tired or bored and quit.

The question that you really want answered is how much money you, yourself, can make. As with everything else that depends on how hard you work and the lengths you go to in order to get the knowledge you need to do it right.

Seven figures is the exception, but hardly a case of there only being two or three who are doing it. It is a growing club, glad to say.

A seriously profitable blog is very much within the grasp of the average person, in my opinion. I say that because lots of blogging sites that pay the mortgage, the car payment or both are not uncommon.

To make money WordPress is a must. Again, that is my opinion. All the research I have done indicates that Google’s search spiders love WordPress because it efficiently indexes pages created with it.

Reasons for using WordPress include:

  • Google loves it.
  • Easy to use for the beginner.
  • Wide array of widgets, and add ons to help you customize it.
  • Wide array of SEO and copy writing tools to help you create effective, interesting posts.
  • It is free.
  • Many of the add ons are free as their developers use add ons to demonstrate their coding talents.
  • Largest community of users so you have lots of depth when asking questions.

Ways To Come Up With Content

You begin by asking yourself what you will blog about.

You write about:

  1. Something you know about
  2. Something you learn about so that you can blog about it.

Invest, Learn, Teach

Investing in learning the skills you need to successfuly blog is a given.

By investing in yourself and your knowledge, you are separating yourself from the 99% who ‘wish’ to be successful by becoming someone who does the things the successful blogger does. Learning is how you become an expert to those who have not.

You invest time, money or both into mastering skills and knowledge you do not currently have.

Because you invest, you are able to learn things you don’t currently know. Learning essential skills is how you ensure you are profitable.

Because you have invested time and money to learn new skills, you now write blog posts teaching your readers what you have learned.

This is one way you provide value up front for your readers.

Obviously, you don’t throw everything you know out there for free, but there are more than enough skills sets out there for you to pull them together in convenient form for your readers.

Ask yourself how many free PDFs or PDFs you have taking up space on your hard drive. Each and every one of them represents good information about which you can write and perhaps solve some problem one or more of your readers may have.

Read, Learn, Teach

On your way home, stop off by the local bookstore. Look at the titles on the recent best sellers list for business books. Leaders are readers and you need to so do so. While you are reading make a note of any top ten or so lists it may go over.

Top ten lists are awesome for quick blog posts.

You can do a book review and use any top ten or so lists discussed in the book as a bullet list of things to talk about in your review of the book. You can also just use the list as a jumping off point for a blog post not book related.

In Conclusion

Because you wanted to know how to make money blogging, you invest in learning the skills demonstrated to be needed by successful bloggers.

As a result of learning the skills necessary to do so, you are now able to teach others how to make money blogging.

Due to your teaching others some of the skills needed to be a successful blogger, they begin to trust you.

Folks buy from those they trust, consequently, your readers begin to buy from you.

To check out one of the best blogging courses out there on how to make money blogging, go here and see the Three Minute Expert, Attraction Marketing Edition.

I bought it. I use it. Recommending it to you is one of the easiest things I have done today.

Social Media Marketing Strategy

Social Media Marketing Strategy: Having Fun or Feeling Fearful

Social media marketing strategy planning is fun for those who are naturally inclined to put themselves out there. It is a labor of Hercules like cleaning out the Augean Stables for those not inclined to promote themselves. Some upbringings (pride goeth before a fall) instill in those of us who are just naturally born with such an attitude, like yours truly, with the feeling that social media promotion is like trying to take a stroll with a barbell across our shoulders.

Well, like someone told me, get over it and get on with it so you can be miserable in 5 star hotels and cruising the world’s oceans with a crew of folks you have helped get free.

Luckily for us modest types there are social media marketing strategy steps to take that are set and forget.

Facebook: Not the Only Game In TownSocial Media Marketing Strategy

…but it is the biggest right now.

To be fair, Facebook is to social media what Microsoft is to the desktop computing marketplace. Your strategy cannot be complete without addressing Facebook and unless you just hate Facebook beyond reason and rationality you need to face up to it, dig in your heels and do what the successful do.

If you think about it, “Dig in and do what the successful do” pretty much covers any and all profit making endeavors, doesn’t it?

Social Media Marketing Strategy: Start Here

Pick One

Pick one and stick with it until you have mastered it. Doing so is the quickest way to six figures.

The worst thing you can do is try to promote on all social media platforms at once. All you will accomplish, almost certainly, is a poor job on all platforms. Shot gunning across all channels is not a social media marketing strategy for success.

Social Media Sites

Here is a list of the social media sites you should start with. How did I pick these? These are the sites folks making more in a month than most folks make in a year are focusing on.

They have the biggest subscriber bases and so the largest market shares.

Since Facebook is the hottest thing running right now, I have two suggestions.

  1. Do not use your personal profile page to promote your business. It is against the terms of use agreement and is kind of like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters. The benefit is not more than the potential downside.
  2. Facebook has a freebie called Blueprint. Blueprint has 50 e-Learning modules for you to go through. Since they want you to quickly become a paying advertiser, I am sure this would benefit you.
  3. Focus. If you want to do Facebook marketing, do Facebook marketing. If you like Twitter then go hang out on Twitter more or less obsessively.

Seems like trying to hit three or more marketing channels at the same time will leave you overwhelmed, ineffectual and upset. Because you are here and reading this, you will not allow this to happen to you.

Most of all, you are going to click on some of the links in this article and take advantage of the free training we offer. As a result, you will see your traffic go up and consequently, you will be more profitable.

Stick to One, But…

The one exception I personally believe to the above admonition to focus is a blog. Your blog in my opinion is where your tribe, those people who are like you and can relate to you, will get to know you.

Writing everyday can be hard. You don’t have to be Longfellow or write a Shakespearian masterpiece each day.

I was guilty of trying to do that.

I did not realize how much I was obsessing over minute details like the Brain in Pinky and the Brain.

The result was that I got frustrated, lost a little bit of my belief and began to avoid that which I love most in life, writing.

Writer’s block was not the problem

The problem was I giving up each day.

  1. Decide On Your Channel.
  2. Go through the free resources those social media outlets have.
  3. Visit this blog for tips and free resources that we provide.
  4. Blog daily.
  5. Market daily.

Which Social Media Outlets Should I look at?

Beside Facebook? Oh, there are several excellent choices. I have already mentioned Twitter but I will lay out the ones I think should be head of the line amongst the choices you look at.

Why do I recommend these for your consideration? Because they have the largest market shares and the greatest number of marketers who have used them to go home and work from there on a permanent basis.

Here they are:

  1. Facebook.
  2. Twitter (October 19th, 9:00PM, Free Twitter Training!)
  3. Google+
  4. LinkedIn
  5. Instagram
  6. Pinterest

Social Media Marketing Strategy

Because each of these channels has its own strengths and quirks, the activities involved will vary greatly. You cannot simultaneously become the darling champion marketing boy in all six channels,  I don’t care who you are.

As I say, stick to one and master it along with your blog and you should find your tribe in short order.

Network Marketing Training Tools: Choices

Network Marketing Training Tools: The Difference Between Success and Failure

You are looking for training on how to succeed as an affiliate or network marketer; you are looking for network marketing training tools. Were that not the case, you would not be here.

There are tons of sites that offer training.

Ask yourself this question:

How many winners has their training produced?

Spending money on losers is part of the game. It is how you learn. As that old Taoist saying goes, “Failure is the foundation of success, and the means by which it is obtained.”

If one plan doesn’t work, change the plan. Don’t change the goal. A little research can cut down on the number of blind alleys you have to run.

That is question number 1. Here is number 2:

How many of those winners are still winning?

The issue is longevity. Anyone can go out and do a flash in the plan sales push and make a few bucks. Is the business you build going to last? Is it a fad? Is it built on repeat customers?

Is the training you are considering going to teaching you these things?

The winners with long term success are a good indicator.

Question number 3:

Are people using this training to succeed in other companies or is this company just good at selling its own products? If you cannot tell, ask for references!

Anyone can claim anything.  Names and track records prove the points.

To sum up, here are the three questions I want you to ask yourself:

  1. How many winners has their network marketing training tools produced?
  2. How many of those winners are still winning? (longevity)
  3. Are people using those toolsets successfully in other businesses? Is it applicable to your business?

In getting ready to write this blog one of the things I researched was the search string ‘top ten most popular blogs.’ Two of them I am recommending you look at the site and the content as they seemed relevant even to us in the home based business training space.

The first one is Smashing Magazine, a blog devoted to web design.

A company proves that it has a strong creative process by developing successful products repeatedly. We see this in companies like Apple, BMW and Google. Founders such as Steve Jobs formed a corporate culture with an intense focus on creativity and design. This culture highlights two core elements in the creative process: the ideas and the team.

The second one is Copy Blogger. Here is a relevant quote for all bloggers.

When trying to rank well for the one or two topics that your entire site is built around, creating flagship content is your best bet. Whether it’s a tutorial about search engine optimization basics, blogging for beginners, or copywriting, a frequently asked questions page, or an inspirational mission statement, this content serves a vital function in creating a relevant, compelling, and useful cornerstone to build a site around.

Lead Generation Ideas

Lead Generation: Your Lifeblood

Lead generation companies want you to think that this subject is hard. They want you to think it is just better to outsource it. By outsource they mean pay for their services.

Perhaps there is some truth to this, but that is the magic of attraction marketing.

Creating quality content that is of benefit to your target market gives them a reason to continue to view your pages.

Do I Really Need to Master Lead Generation?

Yes, you do. You may think you would be okay without it, but you won’t. If you don’t, you leave yourself dependent on others.

Isn’t being independent part of why you are trying to build a home based business?

Lead Generation Techniques: Attraction Marketing

Understand, attraction marketing is a powerful technique. Looking at the number of folks who have mastered it who make 5 and 6 and no doubt soon to be 7 figure monthly incomes I think an argument can be made that it is the technique.

Attraction Marketing

When it comes to lead generation ideas of how to proceed are not in short supply.

I would argue that good ideas are in short supply.

The best way to get up to speed is get educated on the issue.  As you create quality online real estate lead generation becomes less of a concern because as you increase your footprint, you increase your authority.

Ask yourself, “What problems can I solve for my target audience?”

Take each problem and create a resource for it.

To sum up:

  1. Generating leads is the lifeblood of your business.
  2. This subject is not an easy thing for most to master.
  3. It must be mastered for your business to reach its full potention.
  4. Attraction marketing is the best way for a small business to master online lead generation. It is free and mastering it builds skillsets into the business owner for free.
  5. Ask yourself, “What are the problems of my targeted audience?”
  6. Ask, “How can I solved this for them?” or “What do they need from me to solve this?”
  7. Solve the problem.
  8. Create an online resource page showing your solution to their problem.
  9. Distribute the solution through online and social media.

You should go here to learn more about attraction marketing.

Network Marketing Training

Network marketing training webinars, affiliate marketing and other aspects of online marketing training are given every Wednesday. You can sign up for this free training class here.

Network Marketing Training Webinar Tonight

What was the goal of tonight’s network marketing training?

How to make MORE money, get over your prospecting fears and explode into top earner status.

Quick Question:

How would you feel if you made money from almost every call you made whether they joined your MLM or not?

What if we could help you make your annual income every month?

Things to think about as you build your business.

Why Are Most Afraid of the Phone?

The phone.

The most hated thing in the network marketing space.

The most profitable and underutilized thing in the network marketing space.

Why do people fear it?

  • Self-image above impact.
  • Self-image above probability

As Ray explained it, folks fear the phone because they are more worried about how they are going to look to other people and the person they are calling than they are about the impact they can have on the world or that person’s life.

Because they expect rejection, they decide it is just better not to call that person.

Stop Trying To Close vs. Seeing Who Is Open

Quit trying to close everyone.

First of all, it is impossible to close everyone and you are beating your brains out when you try.

Also, it makes you unpleasant to be around. Instead, be the person looking to see who is open. When you ask someone if they would like to know more or if they are interested remember to be the waiter, not the salesman.

Be The Waiter

A waiter waitress stops at your table.

He or she asks, “Would you like some pie for dessert?” You say, “No, thanks.”

Does the waiter collapse in despair? No. Does the waiter argue that the pie is really awesome? No. He says, “Okay” and moves on to his next table. You are already forgotten. When you ask someone and they are not interested, be glad. Move on.

When you begin taking massive action, you may not look good.

There may be the occasional unkind comment.

Do it anyway.

If you take the position of looking to see who is open rather than trying to sell someone on your opportunity your stress levels will be nearly none existent.

3 Steps to Make More Money

  1. Ask where your prospect needs help.
  2. Talk about your MLM’s team training.
  3. If they are already in a company, ask this question, “How are you doing with generating leads online?”

Having a conversation where you are interested in what they need and where they are will make the question in #3 easy to ask.

Most will respond with something like, “Not very well. Not very well at all.”

If they are positive about wishing they could generate more leads online, you can send them to yourID.getmlspmaster.com. Here they can get 30 days of exposure to lead generation strategies and resources for $10.  This assumes you are in MLSP, of course

If they are not at all positive about generating leads online, don’t want to fool with it, thinks it is a waste just hold your posture and hit them with the following script:

Do you know anyone that WOULD want to make some extra money if we showed them step by step how to do it?

…and hold your tongue if they don’t immediately answer.

But before that, I want to define ‘hold your posture’ means. Hold your posture means to believe in something without the need for external affirmation.  If someone wanted to argue that electricity is a scam, you would look at them as if checking to see where the best place to attach the shock therapy electrodes.

I guarantee shock therapy will make a person a believer in electricity.

Anyways, you will get one of three general types of answers when you ask, “Do you know anyone that WOULD want to make some extra money if we showed them step by step how to do it?”

  1. “Wait. You mean someone will show me how to do it step by step?”
  2. “No. NO, I don’t.”
  3. ‘Yes. Yes, I do. Their name is…”

Depending on the above 3 possibilities you will either have motivated them to take action, determined that they absolutely do not belong in your business or generated some new leads with which to follow up.

Going to leave it there for now. Tons of good notes on network marketing training tonight. I will continue this in tomorrow’s post.

Hope this helps.

Webinar Training: Taking Notes Effectively

If you find this article on how to get the most out of a webinar helpful, please comment and share.

Building a business is important. If you treat it like a hobby it will pay you like a hobby pays.

It does a person little good to attend a webinar, latte in hand, yacking to their bestest most favoritest BFF EVER, sit through a webinar, work hard to say something that will get the moderator to notice them…

…and not take a single note.

Then, complain about how they got nothing from the webinar.

Taking notes from an MLSP webinar is important because an MLSP webinar generally provides you orders of magnitude more value and knowledge for free than the $39.95 course you bought last week from a basement dweller on warrior.

Attending an MLSP webinar is a different animal.

Understand Why Taking Notes Is Important

It is difficult to master or remember important concepts unless you take notes. Taking notes gives you the ability to retain and implement knowledge more effectively. I realize that some folks don’t take notes because it is being recorded and can be viewed again later.

More efficient?

Not when you can interact live with the instructor, it isn’t.

Showing up prepared to take notes also increases the energy your mind devotes to the subject. Speaking for myself, I have attended too many webinars while playing a game of solitaire or piddling with my email.

You should show up prepared to pay attention and takes notes in the same manner you would hope folks would show up for your webinars.

How To Take Effective Notes

There is no one best way to take notes. Frankly, if you bother to take any notes at all separates you from probably 90%+ of webinar attendees.

There are some things you can do to improve your note taking, however.

Note Taking Tips

#1 Be Prepared For The Webinar.

Things you will need:

  1. A notebook in which to write your notes.
  2. Pens and pencils. Extra pens in case your pen dies and either extra pencils or sharpener. Highlighters. If your instructor rants on a certain point or otherwise emphasizes it, make it a point to highlight it so you will pay special attention when you review your notes.
  3. Set your phone to record and turn up the volume or set a camera to record it. This is especially important if it is a webinar that will not be recorded for later viewing as Mike Dillar is wont to do.
  4. Learn to use the snip tool efficiently and quickly, especially for none recorded training.

#2 Learn How To Be A Good listener.

You are not only going to have to learn to be a good listener, you are also going to have to develop some judgement as to what is important enough to take notes on.

  • If it is written as a bullet in a PowerPoint slide then it is important.
  • Turn off your cell phone ringer.
  • Consider what can distract you during the webinar. Make arrangements for someone else to deal with it while you are online.
  • Let your family know you will be in an online class. Sometimes they will listen to you and leave you be while you learn. Shutting the door to your office is a fairly clear signal, too.

#3 Learn How To Take Notes Accessible To You

  1. Your note taking style should match your learning style. Putting points that were emphasized by the instructor in a box outlined with a highlighter helps me focus on that single concept.
  2. Take what the instructor said and put it in your own words. This will make the information yours and also make it easier for you to teach it to those on your team, if applicable.

#4 Compare Notes

If you have a running buddy who is also building a business, either with you as one of your distributors or cross line or perhaps even a different business altogether, comparing notes and filling in each other’s knowledge gaps is something done all to seldom. Working together and discussing these things you will get another perspective on what was taught and emphasized.

#5 Rewrite your notes

Edit, organize and add to your notes as you remember things while you go over them.  This will strengthen your grasp of the material and make it easier to implement when you choose to do so.

Hope this helps!  Let me know your thoughts. Also, on the issue of webinars, you should go here tomorrow night.
